This team just keeps getting better – and as we awoke this morning, we all knew that no matter what the result ended up being, these kids would be giving it their all from minute one until that final whistle went. And guess what? They didn’t disappoint…

Today’s opponents were a good, good side – but the Falcons more than played their part in this today. We battled all over the pitch and when they did get through on our goal, there were some inspired saves from Remy and Toby when they were in net. The players in blue were working their socks off and the County fans were showing their appreciation…

And when we did get the ball forward, we were showing that we can be more than a match for these good teams as we scored some great goals here. Henry managed to notch when he got on the end of a good move, turned his man inside out and then slammed the ball home from about 7 yards out and then we saw Noah H grab a brace with a couple of really well-taken goals as we surged forward whenever we could. Let’s not forget our Noah M as well as he too managed to score two good goals and when the whistle did go for the end, everybody there rightly applauded their heroes. That had been a cracking game of football out there…

The handshakes were done with pride as both teams knew they’d played well and as the County players trotted off, their supporters made themselves known gathered over on the right. Henry was awarded the Ensol Player of the Match for his tremendous improvement in confidence over previous weeks and they can all go home from this one knowing that they made us proud. They keep doing that week after week – and we’re lovin’ it!

Thanks once again to the faithful fans that came down to cheer us on and we’re sure you’ll agree when we say that this bunch of kids are getting better and better every week. Make sure you come down again next weekend and catch the next instalment in their fledgling careers…
