Result: 10-0
Scorers: Toby(2), Cameron(2), Liam (2), Frank (2), Lewis, Kieran
Bolton County Dynamites played host to Phoenix Hurricanes on a cold but dry saturday morning.
The game started brightly and after a few minutes Toby opened the scoring from close range after some good work from Ethan.
Not long after Cameron found himself on the scoresheet with a great goal from a superb corner from Lewis.
The Dynamites continued playing their trademark passing game with some great interchanges out of defence and into attack. With the back line finding more room to move forward the ball broke to Liam who struck from outside the goal area, his long range shot finding its way into the net to notch his first of the season.
Frank also got his first shortly after when the ball landed at his feet deep inside the box.
After the break Cameron got his second of the game with a fantastic long range shot. His second was most deserved for his outstanding contribution to the game. He worked hard at the back and moved quickly up, when needed, to get himself into good positions.
Again the Dynamites passing ability played havoc for the opposition. Frank worked tirelessly in the middle and his pass to Kieran allowed him to play Toby through, a quick return from Toby and Kieran was through to shoot and get his first goal of the game.
Ryan had a storming game, breaking up every challenge the Hurricanes made, every tackle was followed up with an intelligent pass that allowed his team mates to break. Frank was the recipient of one such pass who, in turn, played Lewis in for him to claim a well taken goal.
Ethan had a great game leading at the front, making challenges, finding space and playing some neat passes. But it was Liam who got on the scoresheet again, late on, with another log range strike that just could not be stopped.
Anthony was called on a few times and when needed was always there. Unfortunately it was one of those days where the guys in front of him allowed him to have a quiet day.
Finally, with only minutes left, another spectacular interchange of passes allowed Frank to run into the goal area. He skillfully took the ball past 2 defenders and should have been clear through. But he was unfairly challenged and brought to ground, the referee had no choice but to award a penalty. Frank calmly stepped up to take it and, although the keeper went the right way, there was no stopping his low shot into the corner.
Another astounding performance allowed the Dynamites to maintain second spot in the table and keep the pressure on the the leaders. The lads continue to set high standards with every game they play and they are getting glowing trinutes from guests who have been watching. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK GUYS!!!
